On Sunday, January 19th, we had
"Violet's Hat Tea" put on by World Famous Artist
Violet Parkhurst and Katherine McKinney. It was a lovely luncheon and Violet
generously donated half the proceeds from the sales of her artwork to our Church.
Violet also painted a beautiful seascape in
front of our very eyes and a raffle was
held to determine the lucky winner, who turned out to be Gaylan Frederic.
Some of Violet's originals sell for about
$10,000 and she estimated the value of this one at $5000.
It was a lovely afternoon with the luncheon
prepared by Katherine McKinney
and her helpers. Thanks to all for a great afternoon!
