"COMPASSION RISING" is the name of an amazing and groundbreaking film by world renowned cellist Michael D. Fitzpatrick. He wqas moved to produce this film after meeting and collaborating with His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. COMPASSION's story begins in late 1968 when a young Dalai Lama, recently exiled from Tibet, meets with Catholic monk and writer Thomas Merton. They bonded and the Dalai Lama called Merton "my spiritual brother". They made plans to do everything they could to bring East and West together in peace and understanding. The story is riviting, as is the film. Please join us for a wonderful evening including dinner and two songs by cellist Michael Fitzpatrick, to set the mood for this glorious film. | Friday
